Good move. Kings retain his RFA rights after the season. He should share the Ontario net with Portillo next season and one of them will be the next in line if the Kings run into goaltending injuries again in 24-25.

As of right now, these are the goalies of the future. Will be interesting to see what we look like at goalie next season. Gotta believe at least one of Rittich or Talbott will not be around and they will try to find a true number one via FA.

My money is on a trade for a starter this summer. A couple of established guys will be available and there’s always a big money reclamation project out there. Waiting out the market seemed to be the right move by Blake instead of paying out the nose this season.

If our 2 guys can continue to platoon and not fall off a cliff, it will look like a good move. But yeah, gotta add someone over the summer.

LTIR is a thing of beauty. Plus they somehow get teams, even ones in their division, to eat salary so they can add guys. They'll likely have to dump salary in the offseason but every guy they add is better than the guys they dump.
