I was at the game and love it when Kings beat Canadian teams! Really like Vilardi in Kopi’s line. He earned it! Better game had by all. Cal was ok.
 
This was the kind of game that reminds me why I love hockey. Not saying we are a lock for playoffs or anything. But overall the game was entertaining as hell. And Vilardi continues to impress. I'm also a fan of early games on weekends. Got to see all of it and get home in time for dinner. Good day.
 
Hey LGKers!! I admit I haven’t been following the team (or sports in general) that much this season, but I did catch some of the game tonight. It was great to see the win. I was wondering where Byfield was tonight? Did I miss something?

He's been out with "an illness" for a few games.

Great win tonight!! Took a "first timer" to the game - she's hooked now. The Fiala goal was siiicck!!

The Maple Leafs jerseys....ick. Really hard to read the numbers. Or tell that there was even a logo on them.
 
I didn't see any of this game because I was at work listening to Nick and Daryl, but my god were some of those goals absolutely beautiful watching NHL Network recap. And both Toronto goals were literally from fluke bounces to the perfect spot.

I know we've been wildly inconsistent thus far, but the good this team looks capable of better than we have been in almost forever. Vilardi could become a monster if his development continues at this seasons pace. He absolutely belongs on that first line right now and Fiala will probably excel not being out there against other top lines with Kopi and being burdened with playing top line D. Vilardi has more tools in his game to play better both ways, whereas Fiala is an opportunistic sniper.

Also, why didn't anybody mention how awesome those Toronto uni's were and how great the Kings warm up sweaters looked?

I'm jealous of the people that got to attend this one. Games like this are why we do what we do.

Kopitar with Kempe and Fiala was always a mismatch. Gabe adds the right element to 9 & 11. But Kupari and Fiala may be a good pairing.
 
This team should be called the Roller Coaster Kings. Crappy game, great game, crappy game, great game. I hope they can put a stretch of good games together on this road trip. I know it’s still October but can we officially say Vilardi is good & not just hot? In seems like he’s scoring & almost every game & they all look like beauties. And he looked great on that 1st line. I hope that Vilardi has a season like Kempe did last year.

I said in the other thread that Cal played well. It helps when the team plays better defense in front of him. I loved the comments that Coach Todd made saying we’ve proved that we can’t win playing a run & gun style. He was right & the team heeded his words.

On the uni’s I didn’t think the Leafs ones looked too bad, at least on TV. Except why did they say milk on them? And the Kings’ Dia De Los Muertes jerseys looked great. I would love to get one of those.
