Wow, why is no-one talking about this band????

slipknot.jpg

HMMMM this one is gonna have to grow on me...the 'knot pushing the boundaries a bit...they are starting to sound a lot like STONE SOUR but with great percussion...not sure what i think yet...

mitchhedberg.jpg

couldn't find the cover...Mitch's last, not complete...very raw, you can hear him working things out...but it still has enough of laugh out loud **** on it that i have to give it a thumbs up...R.I.P. Mitchie!!!!:ccat:

you know jd... i never really liked slipknot, but i actually like their latest single "psychosocial".

Grabbed the new People in Planes CD week. Sounds awesome so far.

Been meaning to pick that up... recommended?

Not as good as Witching Hour IMHO. Some songs are a bit too long (like they didn't know when to stop). Dropped the 2 Bulgarian songs from my iPod (just couldn't get into them - one's a fairytale). Solid CD though. I'd say an 8/10.

This is one of the best albums I own, which is weird because if you asked anyone I know, they'll tell you I'm no proponent of REM's music.

The record just works for me.

That record was an effort to fuse grunge with REM...not like anything else in their catalog. Probably why you like it.

Yes. Highly. I'm not all too familiar with Ladytron's previous works. I've heard some of it and liked it, but this is the first album of theirs I've actually bought and I'm digging the **** out of it. So catchy.

wow, this is fun...all-star punk tribute band doing punk Elvis covers w/lotsa other references thrown in(lotsa Ramones)...it's just a cool cd to listen to in the car.

not their best...but a great cover of 2000 light years from home...makes ya wanna smoke up and look up at the sky from the hood of your Dodge Duster...yeah I had one, and i miss it sooooooo

great old skool R'n'R...and what a nice cd cover too...makes you miss lp's:greenbeer:

Not a bad single, but over I the record is disappointing, by Slipknot standards. It's very radio friendly and yes JD sounds a lot like Stone Sour.

Sub Sub - Delta Tapes.

Sub Sub started out as a British dance act from Manchester, England.

After a fire destroyed their recording studio in 1996 they re-formed as Doves in 1998.

This CD is extremely hard to find, my sister's boyfriend got it and gave me a copy. This sounds more like Doves of "Lost Souls" than their earlier dance stuff (which I don't like, BTW).

The songs on 'Delta Tapes' still have a bit of a dance feel to 'em but you can definitely hear the Doves sound emerging.
