Ha! The SE of the new Static-X cd has a spot on cover of 'Looks That Kill' as only Wayne and the boys can do it...VegasHockey...you would even dig this...

wow, where do I start???? Equal parts thrash...prog rock...rock opera...concept album...lotsa spoons inna pot. And while you would tend to think, way too ambitious...they get it done. Some high concept about Rasputin/Russian Czar/Astral Projection...what makes it work is that at least 3 of the 4 members of the band sing and lend different vocal stylings/voices to different songs. It's over the top...but it works and really well.

And, the artwork on the cd makes me pray for oldschool albums...this is good stuff ladies and gentlemen. Just look at the colors on the little pic I posted...magic.

Holy Keerist on melba toast. This band rocks. But, more importantly, the singer is creeping me the f### out...he has so many similarities to Phillip Lynott...

God Bless and R.I.P.

that the remaining members of Lizzy should seek him out and do the tribute justice.

and the second album

a little overproduced...strays a bit...kinda QOTSA-ish...still good...but miss the raw sound.

Love Primus...and i love Les Claypool...but most of his non-Primus stuff is bizaare noodling, FrogBrigade,Colonel Claypool's, etc...leave folks scratching their heads...this cd actually has songs...well, songs of a Primus nature...and I find it very fun to listen to and definitely accessible.:mickeyjump:thumbs up

Great industrial album from 1992. See Front 242's influence here. Favorite tracks of mine are "On the The Run," "Sick" and "Breeders."

Their cover of Madonna's "Like A Prayer" inspires me on the karaoke stage.

Say what you want about the flick...the music in this movie is awesome. Anyone know where I can get an actual hard copy of it though? I had to download it thru iTunes because, even though it exists, I could not find it anywhere. I am one of those old cranks that actually likes to have a physical copy.
