The Reader by Bernard Schlink

Wow, as I was reading this I was pretty sure this was a good book but wasn't totally convinced. Then I finished it and decided it's pretty damn good. Sad as **** though...I know I missed some things the first time around, I'm definitely going to read this again.

wow. I am on book 8 of this series and I am WHORFing them down...what a great character, supporting cast...and each book ratchets up the stakes/drama/characters...this is an awesome series, plain and simple...if you like flawed heroes...this Harry(not Potter) is your man.:cheer:

ok, on book 9...and you owe it to yourselves to check this out.

Been working on this for most of the year off an on. It gets too depressing, or rather makes me depressed, and I have to stop and read something else.

Good stuff...Tom Clancy by way of 28 days Later...Maberry also did a very workmanlike Steven King-ish trilogy that's worth a look...think it's called the Bad Moon Rising trilogy or somethin like that. Promising author that knows how to write a very read-able book.mr_hat:

Started reading Fables a couple of weeks ago. I haven't enjoyed a comic so much since reading Transmetropolitan.

Also, in attempts to lighten my opinion of Grant Morrison, Adgy gave me this to read:
