2023 Trade Deadline Thread

I don't see that happening. I think if we don't get one of the big fish, he will make a move to add some depth on the left-D.

Well what is Blake waiting on. The big fishes are being taken, he waits any longer they will be all taken.

I think AZ is holding out to see if anymore offers come in before they pull the trigger

Dreger saying Kings in on package of Korp and Gavrikov

No to this. I’d like to try to sign Korpisalo in the off season. But I wouldn’t give up significant assets for him unless we knew we could sign him. And I don’t want Gavrikov.

Kings have $5,297,960 in deadline cap space. Slightly less available today at $5,057,143. Goes up each day when a team is under the cap.

I assume will be in the market for a bottom 6 forward with playoff experience. We should be.

Alright, now that we’ve got a crap pile of cap space, tell me who the big strapping bodies are that we can get for the playoff stretch to play on the bottom 6. Preferably a Center, so we can slide Lizzie to 4C, and move Kupari to the wing.

Having sent Bjornfot down, our cap space today is $6,089,714 and will be $6,234,707 tomorrow.

Apparently we are looking into adding a 3rd-line center. Top target could be Nick Bjugstad, who is having a great year. However, he only earns $900,000 which means there will be a lot of interested teams.

Hoven mentioned Nick Bonino as a potential target. (He was not making a trade rumor, just saying it could be a fit.)

Both players will be UFAs.

Arizonza just traded Jon Gillies to Columbus for a 2023 6th round pick and Jakub Voracek, Voracek is on LTIR and apparently can't play again. He's owed a lot of money next year, but the contract is insured apparently, so Arizona will only pay a small portion.

That's about $22.5 million in LTIR contracts for next season. They need these LTIR contracts to trade away more players without going under the cap floor.
