2026 World Cup Thread

Moog, my guy, you're fired up. Good. I get it. Last week I met the IT guy out to fix my computer (i'm still remote-brag) and shared that John Oliver shows give me nightmares. Every. Single. One. We sat in silence for about two minutes.

If there is any comfort in this, some of my favorite day drinking memories are watching the World Cup at a bar/pub. Either with strangers or friends, it's a good vibe. So, they can't take that from us, right?

Oh dang, do I know why the caged bird sings? eff.

of course one might argue the higher the ratings the more tv money and the more Fifa doesn't give a s****. I'm in line for the Rugby World Cup in 2031...

LoL good luck to sell those tickets even for half prices

Playoffs could be completely different story
Spain, Argentina or Mexico might play at Sofi stadium
USA -Argentina I can only imagine what potentially price is going to be
I mean, if you want to get dark with it and you know that I do*. There could be another global pandemic and FIFA would have to fill the stadiums with cardboard cutouts of fans.

*Noah Hawley may base his next "Fargo" villain on me. I'm sure it will be flattering.

Aside: Legion and Fargo are written/directed by Noah. *mind blown* this makes SOOOO much sense.

The road to 2026 is building towards something historic, and our most dedicated fans are vital to that journey. Your commitment as a Premium Insider helps define the spirit of U.S. Soccer, and we’re excited to share how you can be part of the World Cup experience here at home.

At the FIFA World Cup Final Draw, the U.S. Men’s National Team was placed into Group D along with Paraguay, Australia and the winner of UEFA Playoff C—either Kosovo, Romania, Slovakia or Türkiye.

U.S. Soccer will receive a limited fan ticket allotment for each U.S. Men’s National Team match. Quantities will vary by venue, and demand is expected to significantly exceed supply.

In partnership with FIFA, U.S. Soccer will conduct two weighted ticket draws exclusively for Insiders—one for Standard Insiders, and one for Premium through Keepers tiers. These draws are designed to recognize and reward fans whose commitment enables U.S. Soccer to remain in service to the game.

In early January, eligible Insiders will receive FIFA Participating Member Association (PMA) access codes to apply for tickets. Applications will remain open until January 13, at which point Insider tiers will be locked for the draw.

Upgrade to VIP today for $185/year to receive two additional entries to the Premium—Keepers ticket draw.
Got this from US Soccer today. $185/year for two entries that probably won't get picked anyway. yeesh
