The Creator Of ‘The Walking Dead’ Admits There’s One Character He Probably Will Not Kill Off
http://uproxx.com/tv/2015/10/walking-dead-wont-kill-one-character/

“I regret all of [the deaths] and none of them at the same time,” Robert Kirkman told the audience at Comic Con, before adding — according to Vulture — that there’s one character he can’t kill off.

“The Carol that’s in the comic was my attempt to show just how broken an individual can become from the zombie apocalypse. The Carol in the show, which is a much better character let’s be honest, actually is made stronger by all the more horrible things that happen to her in the show. Killing her would definitely not … we can’t do that.”

That is Kirkman’s first ever admission that he could not kill off a character, and given how important Carol has become to the series, it’s not a huge surprise that she is the one who seems to be safe.

Then again, who knows how truthful Robert Kirkman is in these situations. After all, he supposedly spoiled an upcoming major character death on a comedy show last year. Or did he?

Right now I need a Futurama Fry meme with Not sure if she is safe, or is gonna die in the next episode...

I love Morgan, but for real, dude? I know he wants to maintain as much of his humanity as possible, but judging Carol for killing a dude who had just murdered and dismembered an innocent person is crazy.

That was a really, really fantastic episode though. Just all-around awesome.

Seriously, did Morgan never watch one of those old episodes of MacGyver where MacGyver had to knock out the same bad guy three separate times throughout the course of the episode because he was too much of a Canadian to use a gun?

Also, that girl was really obsessed with Jeff Scott Soto. Dude has a great voice and all, but geez, zombie apocalypse.

Good epi last night. The show is finally hitting its' stride and Gimple is firmly entrenched. Kept me on the edge of my seat the entire episode. It will be interesting next week to watch the first two episodes marry up. Not really sure what the Wolves are now (if you know the comics you will get my meaning).

I didn't read the comics and might be slow, but how does Morgan know all the W folks? Or do we not know this yet..

Carol with the W on her head wearing a hood and face bandana was bad-a$$ to the nth degree

Agree good episode. Lots going on. Not sure what the wolves motivation is other than chaos.

They needed to take one alive so they can get Intel out of the them. Now one of the ones leaving has a gun. Foreshadowing that will come back to cause harm to somebody.

Seems like Ricks group will outnumber Alexandria originals now. Wonder how that will change the dynamics of the community?

Now for the zombie herd to arrive. Se

Last season Morgan let two of those guys go after they attacked him in the woods if I remember correctly.

I remember that, I think the guy with the long hair was one of them right? It seemed like there was more to the story there, but if that's it and he just realized he should've killed them in the woods when he had the chance, so be it.

That zombie that was shot up in the semi was decomposed pretty fast considering.

Yeah, this part made no sense unless the Wolves were just keeping a zombie in the truck. Maybe it was some sort of strange trap.

Dave Navarro's cousin that Morgan fought inside the house was indeed one of the two Morgan beat down in the clearing last season when he was just trying to enjoy his coffee or tea.

the truck zombie thing is a head scratcher. There was no driver, so it had to be the person driving. While I know they have been loose with how fast someone turns, there was a fair amount of decay there.

While I don't agree with the internet theories of Enid being a spotter for the Wolves...I do think there is a connection there somehow. Has to be. Curious to see how it plays out. The Wolves are a pretty weak big bad. Their only motivation seems to be anarchy and generally being the living form of walkers, at least in the sense that they only seem to want to kill. I have to think there is a bigger motivation somewhere in the bushes...

What was with the scarlet A on the porch when Carol sat down?

And man, Carol is just the baddest of the bad. She just continues to impress with her pragmatic 'gotta go gotta go' ways. I kinda think I am
And I think Morgan and her have something something building too.

Speaking of Morgan, how far off is he? Come on man...you have to kill these folks. No room for pacifism anymore.

And Deanna, nice leadership skills. How do these folks think they are going to survive if they don't want to get their hands dirty. At least some of the Alexandrians fought back, and sadly a lot of them died.

Oh, and add another name to the if they kill ___ we will riot, because Eugene is brilliant. A well needed shot of comic relief without being a one dimensional character.

I hate the episodes where they split the teams...but it worked so well in the first two episodes. Off to a terrific start.

Don't care if you don't care, but as a comic book loving 40coughcoughIsh guy from Jersey...I am jazzed about Comic Book Men

Ok, so my thoughts on the WD.... (Not that they matter)

Morgan is still trying to be a "decent guy", he has not fully broken yet. Yes, he went nuts early but that did not break him. He recovered before hitting rock bottom. So he he still hanging on to his humanity.....think about it: when he let those Wolves go how many of of us were thinking "WTF dude, you need to take those guys out! They will only haunt you in the future."

Carol is awesome.

Don't get me wrong, I like Rick and he is good leader. But at this point if I had to choose, I would follow her. She cuts out emotion and just flat out does what it takes to survive. On a side note women are better then men in these types of situations 'the weaker sex'? physically perhaps, but psychologically? No, the "mother' instinct kicks in and they will do whatever it takes to win, to survive and protect their own. History proves this point. Originally, women were banned from combat not because they could not fight but rather they took no prisoners and dudes like sex.. Chicks fought in Viking times and with other cultures as well. Men stopped women from fighting for two reasons; Sex, "Hey, you are the mom of my kids and I like to bang you! You gotta stay home and stay safe!" The other is they did not play by the rules! While combat evolved and sense of "honor and Chivalry" came into being, chicks thought this was stupid and BS. Dudes could look across the battle field and see an equal, a fellow warrior/soldier. Women see them as an enemy and a future threat. So while a man might take a prisoner, a woman would simply kill him to avoid future problems. Which BTW, in most situations is the right call. For example, in the One Hundred years War there is an event that horrifies historians to this day: A hamlet in France that was controlled by the English was recaptured by the French while the English knights were out of town, the French rolled in and found that the soldiers were gone and only the English force's wives and children were around. So the French, being knights and all, told the English women "Your men have left you and now we are here! Feed us and give us booze! Because we are men and you are women! Serve us wenches!" So the women did. But they purposely "over served" them and got the French wasted. They then ushered them to a barn or town hall and said "Wait here, relax and take off you armor. Put your weapons aside. For you are correct! Our men left us and you are Knights! We will submit and you can have your way with us!' So as the French knights drunkenly and eagerly cast off their garments in anticipation of sex of these new conquests, the English women and moms shut them in, locked the doors and set the place ablaze...........burned all the French to death. A couple of days later the English forces returned, in haste, because they had heard the French had taken their base, only to find every thing calm and normal, except for burned down barn/townhall. "WTF did you do?!?' They asked their women. "French scum came in and we took care of it!" The English knights were horrified and aghast. "You can't do that!!! That is not Chivalrous!!! It is against the bloody rules!!!" The women replied "F the 'rules' it was only a matter of time before they raped us, killed our children and then killed us!" The men lived by "the code" or "honor", the women did what it took to survive. Absolutely true story BTW, but I may have taken liberties in what was said

So that is why I would follow Carol!

On another side note: If some for some reason things go really south in this world, I mean WD level, if you run into me you will be ok. I am a "Rick". But Mrs. KP? Better watch yourself, she would lock you into barn and set it on fire if she thought you were a threat. I'm not kidding, I've seen the instinct kick in a couple of times.

The Wolves? Raiding lowlife scumbags. They are this shows equivalents of vikings, pirates, Celts, Saxons, Vandals, Philistines or any 'raiding culture' of human history. We like to romanticize groups like vikings or pirates, we think them tough cool charming rogues. But in reality they all were murderous scumbags. If a viking band hit your village, things went badly for you. Most likely you were lucky to survive: they killed as many people as possible, stole all your stuff and burned you house down. So really, the Wolves were not all that different from other groups from history.

All in all, I have liked this season thus far!

12.18 million viewers is "dreary" ratings numbers?? I know a lot of people that, like me, watch it on DVR later in the evening or the next day.
I'm too anxious to wait thru commercials.
