All Things:Fx

Man Justified was a hell of a show. Really finished strong, but i prefer the old hat. Now do i rewatch the whole series or do i give Chuck a go?

I was on Amazon looking for a full series set of Justified and nothing. The hell?

From another EW article about Justified:

So is this it? Or is there any thought to a spinoff?

I think we?re just going to kind of take our breath and think about it and just enjoy having done this before we think any further. If there?s a demand or an appetite, I think we would be open pending availability and all. It was a great run and we had a lot of fun doing it with a great group of people.

There is a demand. I demand it.

I feel the same. The new one just felt wrong.

That last conversation between Boyd and Raylan was so ****ing perfect, I was almost in tears. And the way it ended... "We dug coal together." ****in ****, that's good writing. So much summed up right there.

I would buy a subscription to a series about the remaining marshals. Kickstart it or whatever, just MAKE IT HAPPEN.

To address KITW's point...no, there doesn't seem to be a 'complete set' for sale...yet. Wouldn't be surprised to see some 'special edition' double dip eventually. Although the show always was kind of under the radar so I would be less surprised to never see one.

Shut up, take money.

The whole thing about the hat was that Elmore Leonard wanted Raylan to have a smaller hat, so he finally ended up with one in the last episode.

HOW DO I LIVE IN A WORLD WHERE THEY ARE BRINGING FULL HOUSE BACK YET ONE WEEK HAS GONE BY WITH JUSTIFIED NOT EXISTING???

Holy christ. If you aren't watching the Americans...you don't belong in this thread. VERYCLOSE to being the best show in Fx history, and that is saying something. Finale' had tears streaming down my face. Matthew Rhys is just brilliant. Matched across the board. Frank Langella has been a fantastic addition. Nice scene with Margo Martindale last week...yeah, she cameo'd. Which is even MORE reason you should watch. Season ended on a complete Empire Strikes Back note...so THANK YOU Fx for signing up for season 4. Seriously, view this show(FROM THE BEGINNING) any way you can.

I'm about halfway through season 2. Great show, although I don't quite share your enthusiasm for just how good it is. One touch I really appreciate which most of you don't: the vast majority of the actors portraying Russians are actually native Russian speakers, which is exceedingly rare either in movies or on TV. I don't have to cringe listening to actors mangle the language so badly that I must read the subtitles to understand what was said. At least not very often.

Keep watching. Definitely a grower. It took a little time to get it's footing and Matthew Rhys really grows into a tremendous character. Elizabeth is a little stern/unlikeable and one dimensional at first...something she grapples with even in season 4. When you get to the Margo Martindale stuff that is when the **** really heats up. Read an editorial about how odd it is when you realize you are rooting for the Russians to stay ahead of the American government...but that is what happens. Noah Emmerich is the perfect counter to Phillip. Such a sad sack. Emmerich has always been a great actor and he is perfectly cast here. John Boy Walton is actually terrific too. Telling you...there should be a drinking game whenever they wear a disguise. Doubles for the cheesier they are. In Season 4 Phillip wears THE MOST AWESOME Keith Partridge wig...just outstanding. Enjoy.

Actually enjoyed this show season 1. Looking forward to another go. It needs to pick up some though or it's gonna be like The Bridge and be done in 2.

THE STRAIN Season 2: Carlton Cuse Talks Deviating From the Book & Corey Stoll’s Wig

Hmmm. I wonder if GDT is on board with the deviation from the books and taking the show to at least 5 seasons. I thought season 1 was flawed, but still entertaining. Looking forward to season 2, hopefully the padding will not dilute the story too much. That is one thing the first season had...a forward direction.
