Crawl is getting some seriously good initial reviews. I'm not one for gore so I'm still relatively hesitant, but may have to check this out. It can't be better than Lake Placid right?

It was a nice tight little thriller. Actually had me squirming in the seat. Very effective. And, it's always nice to see Barry Pepper.

Midsommer: A whole lot of nothing. At every juncture of this movie you continuously question why these morons remain in a place that is overtly and not at all subtly dangerous. And, as the director stated in an interview, there are expectations in a movie like this as far as body count/victims. If you are not interested in this, as he also said...how about giving us something to help fill the 2 hr 20 minute running time. Being vague while aping a far superior movie does not a thriller make. All to come to a 'startling' conclusion that the movie seems to have started from and retrofit the plot to pay off. It's effective in being off putting, simply because it is purposely muddled.

Here's what I been noticing... If Jorge from Who Goes There Podcast hates it, then it's probably good.
