All Things HORROR

Problem with rebooting NELM... even tho Freddy's face is burnt, it's just so recognizable as Robert Englund. Look at the other slashers that got remade...

Friday the 13th - wears a mask
Halloween - wears a mask
Texas Chainsaw - wears a mask

I'm ok with all those flicks. Out of all the actors under those masks, only Kane Hodder really stands out to me. I just never bothered to seek out the Nightmare remake. But *to be fair*, I'm not as big a Freddy fan. His lore just never made any damn sense to me.

i'm surprised I haven't been in here. I'm all about horror, but lately I've gone a lil away from the horror films. I think my problem is that I'm not scared by any of them and it seems like it's just all the same now. bums me out.

Horror, just like every thing else, goes through trends. Not even sure what the trend is right now. Personally I just want to be entertained and I been finding flicks that have been doing it for me.

I don't do it as frequently as I have in the past, but I still try to feed this thread with whatever horror is lurking in the shadows. Welcome aboard new guy, and Luc, are you not entertained lately? I know you saw Jane Doe...which, if you scroll back, I know I mentioned it here a while back. There are good movies out there. Lately, artsy Horror is the only thing really getting wide release. Some are better than others...but, between the cracks, with all the content providers, the real gems have to be sought out. I will try to focus and keep recommending stuff.

whoa whoa whoa, pause... first time watching Hocus Pocus?!!

whoa whoa whoa, pause... first time watching Hocus Pocus?!!

Right? :fpalm:

I am from that age of people who grew up with that movie, but I never saw it. Dunno, how it got away from me. Seen bits, like when the witches were on the bus, but as I got older it seemed silly for me to watch the whole thing.

However, since it's an October tradition for a lot of people, I made it a point to watch it. Yeah, it's a kids/family movie, but I thought it's good fun and a nice contrast to some of the darker stuff I watch during the month. :good:
