Bummer , they postponed their show at the Roxy on Thursday to 4/25.

I saw Lush play their first show in LA , maybe in the US at Club Lingerie back in the day .

I've seen them a few times over the years . I knew they broke up but didn't know they had not played a gig in 20+years .

They have some east coast dates in the fall in like 500-1500- cap venues so hopefully they will book the Fonda or Echoplex, El Rey here in town

I totally missed this when it went down. Actually, I have never paid much attention to the Rock Hall, except for when Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley sort of trashed the process. Even then, I only realized it, because of jd's posts here on LGK.

Now comes Steve Miller being even more direct about his dissatisfaction. I didn't see in either of these two articles, but apparently, the Rock Hall allowed for tickets for Miller and his wife, but wanted to charge Miller's band member $10K each if they wanted to sit at Miller's table and watch the ceremony. This is in addition to the other problems the article(s) bring up. Actually, the second article is the one with the information; the first is just Miller's initial backstage tirade about the evening's event and Rock Hall board specifically and the entire recording industry in general.
 
Steve Miller was terrific. No filter whatsoever. And screw the Black Keyes for getting all bent. He had no idea who they were and that was who was inducting him. While they finally corrected some wrongs this year, it really should be removed from the people in charge's hands. Just too many mistakes.
 
The sooner I get off my ass and get some venture capitalists to fund my Actual Rock Music Hall Of Fame, the better.

Rage Against the Machine have launched a cryptic countdown clock on a new website, Prophetsofrage.com.

The countdown leads to June 1st.

If the user writes in their email address, they’ll be taken to an image reading, “Clear the way for the prophets of rage,” which is a Public Enemy lyric from the song “Prophets of Rage.”

The hashtag, #TakeThePowerBack, is from a Rage Against the Machine song.

As of right now prophetofrage.com has so much traffic, the website can’t be reached!

There have also been reports of the image plastered around L.A., and Chuck D has taken to tweeting some videos of the band performing live in 2010.

I have seen that logo pasted hither and thither, was wondering wtf it was. This is pretty much confirmed, I do not think it's a hoax.

Recently, Rage Against the Machine -- inactive since 2011 -- launched a website counting down to June 1, adorned with #TakeThePowerBack, which also appeared on posters displayed around their hometown of Los Angeles. Naturally, people wondered if Rage was getting back together.

Well, not quite. ProphetsOfRage.com (a website that is no longer loading, as of press time) is actually proclaiming a whole new group. Sources tell Billboard that three-quarters of the storied band -- guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk -- are joining forces with Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Cypress Hill’s B-Real to form a supergroup called Prophets of Rage (referencing a Public Enemy song of the same name from the 1988 album It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back) to perform songs by all three bands. Rage vocalist Zack de la Rocha is not involved.

Rage Against the Machine Was Mocking Donald Trump's Presidential Run 16 Years Ago

The band's debut is set for Hollywood Palladium on June 3, with a show at L.A.'s Whisky a Go Go planned as well. A 2016 summer tour is also being considered.

Rage Against the Machine’s full lineup has not performed since a July 2011 show at L.A. Rising fest.

Worth noting: With election season ramping up, these self-anointed prophets should have plenty of rage to pull from.
