All Things: Streaming TV Options

Just watched the first two “free” episode of Cobra Kai. I really liked it but my tastes may be lower compared to some people. The storyline has some good potential on the rest of the story IMO. There were flashbacks and references to the original movie. Some were blatant and others were subtle. I am seriously considering signing up for YouTube Red for the rest of the series.
Dude I have watched six episodes in the last two days. I am completely obsessed. It actually does justice to the original. Daniel is still ridiculously awkward. Damn them for making Johnny a sympathetic figure! (and pretty darn funny with some of his insults) Perfect blend of flashbacks from the movie (tribute to Pat Morita mid-season was super nice). And some killer 80s music.

Plus the entire thing takes place between encino, reseda and tarzana. My hood! I almost lost my s*** when Johnny was putting up cobra kai flyers at the encino commons.

I don't want to watch the final 4 episodes aas I don't want it to end!

Spoiler Alert:

I'm guessing it comes down to Johnny's pseudo-son vs. Johnny's real son with Daniel in a match at the end. I don't want to see a winner!

I was 16 and in high school when the movie came out so it right up my alley. Who wasn’t in love with Ali? I finished up all the episodes within the next day or two of my original post. I couldn’t get enough of it. What was cool was the various stories didn’t go where I was thinking they were going to go which was more entertaining. I also felt more sympathy for Johnny which was cool but at the same time, I wanted a bad guy to hate and I couldn’t do that. I think I still side with Daniel on the movie but not as much (60-40 Daniel?) thanks to this series. Cant wait for more.

Actually wish they would've left the old guard out of it. Let Johnny determine how......

....the kid from Cobra Kai won the tournament, and continue to battle internally over what kind of sensei he was going to be. Leave Kreese in the past, or at least just have him appear as kind of an imaginary vision Johnny has from time to time but not a real character.

Maybe You Should Chill Out And Watch ‘The Wine Show’
https://uproxx.com/tv/chill-out-and-watch-the-wine-show/

Are you familiar with The Wine Show? I do hope you are. The Wine Show is a goddamn delight. It is a show produced by ITV in Europe that is now in America on Hulu and the Ovation Network. It is literally a show about wine and drinking wine and gadgets related to wine. And it’s a show about friendship. The first-season is hosted by Matthew Goode (who you know from Downton Abbey and The Good Wife) and Matthew Rhys (The Americans), who appear to be having just the best time any two buddies have ever had. They’re so charming together. Goode comes off kind of like James Bond’s mischievous younger brother and Rhys is a total goofball. He’s a giggly bearded mess the whole time. I love it.
They are getting paid to travel around Italy and drink wine. A lot of wine. So much wine that, well, let’s let Matthew Rhys describe how much wine:

“It’s an incredibly hard show to film because you start drinking at 8:30 every morning and you drink solidly —there’s no spittooning — until 6:30 p.m.,” says Rhys. Apparently that limited Rhys and Goode’s ability to say anything other than “this is a nice red” or “it’ll go well with chicken” about the wines. “By 6:30pm they’re cutting the script because we’re slurring so much and they say just use short words and short sentences.”
