All Things: Streaming TV Options

If you ever want to watch a "so bad it's good movie," I can highly recommend "Planet of the Sharks" on Prime. Ran across it and just had to check it out. Was NOT disappointed. The IMDB rating is 2.6 and it is way, way overrated if you're looking at it as "sci/fi drama" and way, way underrated if you're looking at it as "comedy."

Special effects which cost nearly $5 and actors which were collectively paid $3. It is glorious.

So the algorithm kept "suggesting" this show and humored it then reluctantly caved to acceptance. Bastards.

Where this show starts: Twenty-something white male, David(dan stevens) being hospitalized for almost every mental illness that manifests violently. Eyebrow raise. Has a bad-girl friend, Lenny (aubrey plaza) that he used to do drugs with on the outside who also has been admitted so she provides clarity/context to his nonsense stories. It's shot with these crazy abstract visuals, usually non-linearly in a super compelling way from several perspectives. Then the show takes a huge left turn and the story turns on that hinge to reveal he has untapped comic book superpowers that the antipsychotic medication were suppressing. So when he stops taking his meds...weird supernatural uncontrollable violence ensues. He also meets the girl of his dreams in the metal hospital because of course he does and just when you've been-there-and-done-that...***** gets weird. Really. Really. Weird.

Every new episode you simultaneously want to give up on it and binge watch it. There is just no other way to describe the sensation.

Okay, so if it comes up on your algorithm...click.
