I am not sure Edmundson is an upgrade to Englund. Also, the Kings needed a PM LHD, not a Pylon LHD.
Everything else looks accurate.

I'm trying not to be too negative but why didn't we push harder for Brenden Dillon. He's better than Edmundson and only cost a little bit more.
I read the Mayor article on JE and is sounds like he's a player that Blake has coveted for years. I think the article was supposed to be a fluff piece making Kings fans feel better about getting a long term target. Instead it made me feel like Blake is inflexible in his thinking.

Dillon is also healthier than Edmunson. he’s two years older but Edmunson plays a max of 60 games per season. Just really perplexing.
The Mayor is quite literally a mouth piece for the organization. They feed him information so he can be the first to break the news and so they can get out in front of things and try to spin the narrative.

Ottawa gave Chychrun away to Washington for spare parts. This sucks.
This defense with Chychrun and either Gavrikov or Edmunson makes so much more sense than icing both Gavrikov and Edmunson.

I think you are spot on with the Mayor. He has thrown out rumors about players that were traded by Blake. I think in order to ease the pain of said trades. Turns out, none of that stuff was true. I am sure one of the 3 clowns in the front office has been feeding him that BS.

I think part of the issue with Chychrun is we wouldn't have had the cap space to re-sign him in all likelihood - assuming he wanted to stay here.

In terms of remaining cap space, I show $10,071,667 left with Byfield and Spence still to sign, which would add up to a 21-man roster. I'm assuming Turcotte, Thomas and Clarke make the roster and Englund and Moverare do not. (Capfriendly shows Jack Studnicka on our roster, but his signing was announced with the AHL signings so I'm assuming he ends up in Ontario.) If Byfield gets $8 million as Russell Morgan speculated, and Spence got $1.5 million, there would not be room to have even a 22-man roster.

I idea is that in the second half of that contract, if he reaches his potential, it becomes a bargain with the rising cap. Personally, I was expecting 2 years at $4.5 to $5 million.
There's no confirmation as to Russell Morgan's rumor. He was only presenting it as a rumor himself, not claiming to have inside info.

Clarke will be on the roster. They had to bring in a guy like Burroughs as there is literally no right-shot defenseman in Ontario that could be called up if Doughty, Spence or Clarke is injured. I think Burroughs will be the 7th D. They waive Englund and Moverare, and if one gets claimed they still have the other for call up.
Burroughs will get some playing time when they go 11/7. Also, I doubt they play Clarke 82 games even if he stays healthy.

Yeah, I figured that. just throwing it out there. Englund played "ok" lsat year, why spend for Edmundson? He is just another big "ok" D.
