Overpaying is Blake's way but they are spot on about Bergevin - it's all gone downhill since he joined the Organization. Why Luc chose to bring on a historic loser to help guide Blake is still beyond me...

This is the kind of thing that happens when 3 clowns run the show. This is not a playoff team. Many other teams improved, the Kings, not so much.

This squad is not getting out of the first round. I wouldn’t be too surprised if they miss the playoffs.

In the latest Insider article, they say Blake described Jeanott and Foegele as middle six forwards. The article suggests these are the anticipated top three lines:

Laferriere – Kopitar – Kempe
Moore – Danault – Jeannot
Fiala – Byfield – Foegele

That second round pick we gave up to get Jeannot is suddenly looking very valuable. Doubt the Kings make the playoffs with that roster unless several player over perform

I don’t love Laf on the Kopi line. I hope Jeannot gets a shot next to them. Foegele is probably the guy who will bounce around the most because he is so versatile. Also this top 9 has 8 left shots.

The real kicker is even if 2 or 3 guys breakout next season all it takes is an extended slump from Kuemper and Rittich for the Kings to drop out of the playoffs completely.

Blake has built a team that has its playoff hopes walking on the edge of a razor.

i’ve been watching the NHL Tonight analysis of free agency all day long on repeat, and I only just now realized that Thomas Hickey is sitting in on the broadcast. He actually seems like a natural, I thought he was some random Canadian broadcaster or talking head until I just saw the graphic displaying his name.

it went downhill after Lombardi was let go, and they rolled everything up to Luc. He’s the first problem.

Byfield gets 8 million for 20 goals?

The same was said when the Oilers signed Draisaitl for 8x8.5. That turned out to be a bargain. If QB does get that kind of money, I think it will work out well for the Kings long-term
