Last Movie Watched

Too bad I'm a year late for Adgy's thread, but thought it was very well done given the whole story behind the tiny budget and whatnot. Several scenes of darn good, arm hair-tingling creepiness. The Mrs. lost patience, however, when nothing was happening except Micah's daytime self-absorbed clowning and f-bombs.

Don't watch many movies anymore but got a few Redbox codes to check out a few I wanted to watch. I enjoyed both and both come highly recommended. While I thought Star Trek played pretty by the book, the casting was exceptional. I also watched Pandorum last weekend. Right on the cusp of being something great. As it was, certainly worth a rent.

HOLY ****. Easily one of the best movies I've seen in years--and GOTTA be in the top 3 or 5 wartime flicks of all time. Man, through the first half-hour I was either holding my breath for minutes on end or hyperventilating. ****ing BRUTALLY tense!!! Sorry now that I missed it in the theater, but the BluRay was outstanding. Absolutely LOVED it.

Even had a full night of dreams spun off the movie. Felt like a pu$$y waking up this morning wrapped in 800-thread count sheets and an a/c controlled bedroom, but whaddya gonna do. I respect the hell outta those guys and gals, but don't think I'll be volunteering over there any time soon.

Meh, this was such a bizaare true story and would have made a great flick just sticking to the details. Instead they went for an over-the-top revenge flick ending and it just kinda missed the mark. Disappointing.

Diane Lane, Thomas Jane, Mickey Roarke, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Rosario Dawson...what a cast! Should be great, right? Hurm...notsomuch. It's not bad, it just isn't anything you haven't seen before. Worth a rental...if the store(do people still rent at stores?) has not much else left.

Because I just seem to punish myself every so often (I watch some of the movies Adgy likes willingly right?) I tried giving Clint Eastwood another chance and attempted to watch The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly after the Kings game.

This movie does not have enough violence in it. I sat there and watched close ups of eyes and guns and hands and guns and eyes and hands and guns and eyes for like 10 fricken minutes before anyone did anything.

You just may have permanently damaged your friendship with ketel.

:lalala: Blasphemy...blasphemy!!!!!!!

Sorry brother, I just don't see what's so great about this movie. I gave it a shot....plus the syncing between the movement of the actor's mouths and the actual dialogue heard drives me crazy. I felt like I was watching The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly as if it was originally made in Chinese and then redubbed in English - badly.

I'm not worried, my friendship with K&T is too deep to be threatened by a difference in taste for a movie. And if I do have to make it up to her, then I will, and I'm not telling y'all how. :p

Watched Triangle last night. Stars Melissa George and was shot around Australia. IIRC, it was directed by the guy who did Severance, which was also great.

I'd compare it to something from the Twilight Zone, and the less you know going-in, the better it is! Definitely a high re-watch factor.

IMHO, one of the best of 2009 (will need to retroactively add it high-up on my year end list). It was an absolute steal for $14.99 for the BR on Amazon.
