Dunst was COLD in Marie Antoinette, but I cannot figure if that's because it was Dunst's acting, or because Coppola wanted to show that the French nobility where oblivious to what was happening around the country(I mean getting excited over flamboyant cakes?), which is why the French revolution happened.

I think it's the latter. The French nobility seems to have been living in Disneyland while the French peasants were starving, which was probably why the unwashed and hungry French population was pissed.

I took a class in the French revolution. It was awesome. ;)

I think it depends on the role. I think she did a good job being frosty in How to Lose Friends and Alienate People or whatever that Simon Pegg movie was called. My favorite movie of hers is Drop Dead Gorgeous. :)

Oh s***. Haven't seen any of those. I should probably recuse myself from any discussion on her skills. Think my crush is too big - and exposure to little - to judge. :tape2:

Errr, did I mention she's hot?

just watched 'Big Fan' with Patton Oswalt and Michael Rappaport.
made me laugh, could picture about 90% of the people on this board being cast in the title role.

Drop Dead Gorgeous is pretty damn funny. I had Adgy watch it last year and he enjoyed it. Even if you think the acting wasn't all that in the movie, the supporting cast makes up for it.

I can see that every time he calls that radio station, although some of the calls on Kings Talk make you wish that some people would write down what they want to say before they say it. I managed to watch maybe most of that movie but I changed the channel because it was too disturbing to watch Patton get his ass beat.

Checked netflix last night and knew right away from the pic I'd seen it. Wife being Japanese didn't get the humor at all and bailed after 10 minutes, but I thought it was pretty clever and funny. A few years ago, but strange that I don't remember Kirsten in it at all. In memory I can only see Denise Richards. She was a pretty big crush too, so there ya go.

Just watched Keith and liked it a lot. Was expecting a typical sugarcoated teenage drama but it turned out way better imo.

Not the greatest movie I've ever seen, but I didn't really know anything about Bettie Page, so it was interesting. Excellent performance by Gretchen Moll, too.

Watched the first in the Ju-On series, pretty darn scary. Would have been nice if they had explained more about why the ghosts wanted to **** with people so badly, guess I'll have to watch the next in the series.

Ju-On is my favorite asian scary movie series. I don't know why people think Ringu is scary, that's weak sauce. You gotta watch the Ju-On tv mini that came out before the movies (at least that's what Adgy told me), that one is waaaaaaaaay scarier than the movies, IMO.

just went to youtube and watched the 2 shorts, maybe they would have been scarier if I hadn't watched the first 2 Ju-On movies earlier today. Wonder why they (or at least a fancy version of the scenes) weren't in the feature film.

Guess I need to watch Ju-On The Grudge tomorrow, or maybe I should watch it now since it's nighttime and I'm all by myself...

DHKF, did you watch Ju-On: The Curse first, then? Because those are the TV movies BT was referring to.

oh ok. I thought she was referring to Katasumi and 4444444444. Yes, I watched The Curse parts 1 and 2. Gonna watch The Grudge next sometime.

that's what I heard too, I'll probably watch it anyway. Ever since I watched Noroi I've had a compulsion to watch any half-decent Japanese horror movie I can find.
