It will be interesting to see what team in the league will be able to defend that PP. Never seen anything like it. On the score sheet Kings have played even or better five on five.
It’s almost as if Fiala has a reputation similar to Lemieux. The refs -really- like to call penalties on the guy. Not saying he doesn’t do some dumb **** on occasion, but they let guys like Evander Kane and Draisaitl run amok
The Kings don’t have the horses to compete in the playoffs. We’ve said it all year. The fact they won two games against this Oilers team is a true accomplishment. The Oilers were the hottest team heading into the playoffs. The Oilers are loaded and can have an average goalie and still win games because of their skill. Blake has a lot to do before next season and at the deadline to get them over the hump.
I agree but a goal scored off a guys face on a shot going high and wide I’m not sure you can blame that on a Kings inability to kill the penalty.
Kings need to get bigger this summer. They are too small and too soft. Almost miss Lemuiex.
That period was an oatmeal raisin pretending to be chocolate chip. :cbgb2:
Yes...for the previous 9 goals in 3+ periods

Agreed, especially if we loose Gavrikov as a UFA. Love this team and their skill, speed and never give up attitude, but that can’t make up the fact that they’re being outmuscled out there.
The kings have a style, it works and eveyones happy, they lose with it and it gives you no satisfaction at all because it looks soooo meek.
I turned off the game and turned on the Angels game. That’s how bad this game is.
I think a lot of what we’re seeing on the PP is a mental dominance of the Kings PK. That’s not a one year thing. A lot of that is a leftover from last playoffs. Other teams don’t have that mental baggage the Kings PK has.
They had the best PP in the history of the league all year certainly not just a Kings thing. This series is a disaster but give them some credit for moving the puck quickly that you can’t even chase
