Punk...

hmmmm beaten_fi:

ha, that's a cheesy video. looks like they took the repetition of "17" literally. to be honest though, i like the 2 songs i've heard off this new album better than anything off the last one.

it still isn't anything like:

or this:

or even this:

i do like this older more grownsed up looking incarnation of davey better than when he had long hair and/or when he wore makeup. it looks like he took his lip ring out which is good. looked good when he was young, but it just looks dumb in people who are approaching 40.
the last time i really liked how he looked was back in the 90s.

Blitz-4Q

This song brings back some good memories! Mainly of my mom freaking out every time I cranked it my room. My mom tolerated that I listened to punk , grudgingly, but it used to drive her crazy that I did so so loud. And the cussing and foul language? She hated it. And I tried to accommodate her by not playing foul mouthed punk songs when she was home. So the first time I cranked this song she came into my room with an exasperated look on her face and I gave my best "What?" look. "Are you kidding me? How many times do they have to say f-you?!?" "No ma, "**** you" is by DOA which I don't play when you're home. This is the Blitz and they are saying '4Q', they're British so they only sound like they are say "**** you". It's all good mom!" Although, truth be known one line is "****off back where you belong", but she missed that.

My favorite thing to do was when she had certain friends over that were uptight and snooty was blast this song I would make a point of walking through the living room in my jackboots and spiked hair to see their horrified looks "Hello ladies!" My my mom would be telling them "....no, no they are saying 4Q." and shoot me a look, that if looks could kill. would have killed me many times over.

Good ol' mom!

Something along the lines of Death Rock!

Let's all drive through the dark streets of L.A and pretend we're rejects from Return of the Living Dead. evil:

Getting back to the basics:

Naked Raygun:

Judge (inspired by KP's Blitz post):

Mission of Burma:

Husker Du (Bob Mould, but this kicks ass!):

Shall I go on?

Another band that I wish I could've watched in their time. Don't worry peeps, I am close to inventing a time machine and we'll revisit the Kings Championship game and then hit classic punk shows from L.A's past. ;)

They're touring now. I thought they were going to stop last year.

Before I go anywhere in that time machine, I'm going to formulate a plan to somehow keep the Olympic as a boxing, wrestling and music venue.

Yeah, but it would've been more exciting to see them in their prime. They are probably as old as my parents now, haha. ;)

But anyhooow, some dark Gothic stuff for such a unGoth warm Cali day! :O

I've never seen the Misfits. :(

But something between post punk and early industrial...like possibly the best bands ever! evil:

Kalte Sterne
Wir sind alle Monde dieser Welt
Alle Sterne dieser Welt
Aber nach uns kommt nichts mehr

Cosmic stuff about cold stars. ;)
