I was trying hard to not root for the Rangers, but the Shesterkin story is making me interested in seeing them advance.

Sorry but no "story", no matter how good, is ever going to make me root for the Rangers.

Well, I'd say MacKinnon vs McDavid lived up to it's billing. Or, should it be Makar v. McDavid.

Almost felt sorry for the goalies on both teams...and I couldn't help think about Denis Lemieux from "Slap Shot". Smith and Kuemper are gonna need some Dramamine before this is over...

Just the Oilers luck Kuemper gets hurt in game 1. That could be the difference if it’s serious.

Watching that trainwreck last night I’m wondering if Shesterkin might just lead the Rags to the Cup after all.

Otherwise Vasilevskiy is no slouch. I’ll take a TB 3-peat over the Oilers every day of the week.

Tampa simply looks like the best team right now. Shesterkin might take em down but they still gotta find a way past Vasi. I really want to see Colorado Tampa as the final. Last nights game was a hoot. Those two teams are young and doing things they don't know they aren't supposed to do, nor are they supposed to be able to do. Highly entertained by that game considering the Av's felt like it was theirs the whole time but Edmonton hung around with the best of em.

With my New York roots, I've been pulling for the Rangers since the Kings were eliminated. Never underestimate the ability of a hot goalie to take a team all the way to the Cup.

Watching last night's race, er, game, it's no wonder why Blake is more concerned about speed than size. But as Gretzky said after the first period, speed is great, but you have to be smart, too. Saw a lot of speed mixed with little brains last night. It looked like a fire drill at times out there.

Totally agreed, but at the same time they're getting away with some things that I'm not sure could be coached against anyway. Thus progress in the game is made. The fact that they're out there doing these experiments in the conference final means we get to see all the emotion (high and low) that goes with it. If these were older teams I don't think it could happen. Wayne is right, but he also was playing the same way in '82, just balls out. Wasn't till a little later that the lessons came to them all, and I don't think there's any person on earth that could've convinced 82 Wayne to play like 84 Wayne. Even the greats gotta learn at their own pace. In the meantime I'm just sitting here with my

Well, one thing for sure: It ain't boring. I was at the Kings 9-6 series clincher aginst Calgary at the Forum in 1993, and I thought I'd never see another Stanley Cup Playoff game with so many goals...but along with last night's 14 goal game, the first game between the Flames and Oilers in the second round was a 9-6 Calgary victory. Throw in a few major fights, and it's like being in a time machine. Gotta love it...

The final is shaping up to be the battle of the immovable object vs the unstoppable force. The east is all about Shesterkin against Vasilevskiy and the west is all about the flying McD's.

Some pretty interesting storylines for the NHL in the first year of the TBS and ESPN experiment.

I feel like I don't even know anything about hockey any more.....this is even weirder than 2019 when all the favorites lost in the 1st round.

Been a Ranger fan for many years, going back to the time they won the cup with Messier, Leach,Graves, and of course Mike Richter in net!!!

Hard to argue against the Avs after last night. They followed up an 8-6 shootout win with a lock-it-down shutout of the OIlers. They can win games both ways. Certainly at this point, the WCF is theirs to lose.

Avs were extremely impressive. And speaking of teams whose captain is not necessarily their best player, most would agree MacKinnon is the best player, but Landeskog is the Captain.

this Rags/Lightning game (Sunday, Game 3) has taught me 2 things:

1) I hate Corey Perry even more than I thought possible, and

2) apparently players who actually try to avoid running into the goalie when they have the puck have been doing hockey wrong for the past 33ish years that I have been watching.

Kane getting 1 game is a travesty. Insulting to Kadri, the 'lanche and the rest of the NHL. Should have been 4 games to make it "rest of series" essentially. End of story.

Colorado is so f'n good but losing Kadri will hurt.

Avs are much better than everyone else honestly.

The lightning are winning off experience and will?actually the Avs are like the peak lightning teams.

No shame for the lightning. It?s damn impressive they are this close to 3 consecutive SCF in the salary cap era.
