Captain Marvel is a really good flick, BTW. I don't think I've weighed in yet. Very much '80s sci-fi story (even though it takes place in the '90s). Might have to see it a third time.

Dumbo was an odd movie. The least Burton-y Tim Burton movie I have seen which constantly felt like a bit of subversive insults against Corporate Disney. Look, the subtle working in of Baby Mine had me hitching and ugly crying...but the tone was like half apology for the WRONGness of Dumbo upon reflection, and that subtle F U to Disney. Adorable besides that though.

Irvine Spectrum, IMAX 3D, Thurs, Apr 25, late screening
Was able to get tickets through Fandango at, like, 7am yesterday. Had tried the AMC app and site, but it was firmly down at that point. Also, Fandango couldn't get AMC tickets because AMC was down. Luckily, Edwards was working.


AMC Block, Dolby Theater, Sun, Apr 27, some time in the afternoon
A buddy got tickets to that show because we really like that theater. Recliners and a cool, curved hallway screen that shows movie-specific pre-show clips that leads to the auditorium.
