I'm in. I know I know. Still.

great big pile of meh. And oh...i'll go. But I won't like it. Gonna so hatewatch this movie. I think everyone needs more black...and piping...nice to see Spiderman steal the animated eyes that Deadpool came up with. Boy, I cannot wait for the next next reboot of that tired ass franchise. Marvel...literally Fast Food Theater.

I just hope there's some actual "pain" in this one. The problem(s) with the Marvel movies of late has been that (1) the heroes aren't REALLY ever in peril. We know they're going to win because we've seen the timeline for the next movies and (2) the villains aren't very interesting outside of Loki. This one could knock around with both of those issues a bit which is what I'm hoping for. I'd like to see them take some risks to upset the apple cart, but it remains to be seen if they have the balls to do it.

spoiler alert...

Mark me down as 50% excited, 50% terrified for Civil War. I have A LOT of feelings about the trailer and not nearly enough words.

I'm not much of a Spider-Man fan, but I actually shrieked when he showed up. Black Panther being like "Really? Bullets? Nice try" was great. Ant-Man riding one of Hawkeye's arrows is awesome. I am VERY excited for this yet sooooo not emotionally ready.

JD, I would fight to the death to preserve your right to have the worst taste in entertainment of anyone I have ever known.

This movie looks absolutely spectacular. Its in the hands of those who brought The Winter Soldier, which I consider to be the best comic book based movie ever made. Ever.

Never understood the griping about the lack of individuality between the Marvel projects. They are clearly set up to be merely individual episodes of the widest reaching arc in film history, if you don't count the -Up documentary series. Nothing has ever been done at this scale, and they should have a continuity in tone. With the exception of the Iron Man 3 Shane Black misstep, they have all been thouroughly enjoyable films from start to finish.

Good day to you, sir.

If it is anywhere near the comic line, I think this movie is staged to be the The Empire Strikes Back of the MCU, where **** finally gets real. And I do enjoy the dynamic that it is coming from within the heroes this time, and not just another stop gap betwixt the good guys and the Villain-of-the-Month. I am excited to see how they handle Zemo and Crossbones.

I wonder if, given the Sony deal with Spider-man, they also have access to Norman Osborn? There is clearly a Thunderbolts possibility brewing as well, but with the schedules pretty much announced for the next decade they don't have much leeway.
