The other teams thread

Alright, Cats, cut down on the lapses affecting you at the worst possible times and start playing meaningful hockey on both ends of the puck. Game 6 has started and you seriously need to close this game all in your favor. And I mean seriously, get your damn act together for crying out loud!

Boo, Oilers score first again. Another miscue befell the Cats thanks to a stupid turnover. Goodness, Florida, can you not stop misplaying the puck? I swear every time you do it'll eventually lead to an Edmonton goal.

Man, Verhaeghe is turning into a liability for the Cats. He's costing his team not just on the PP but also 5-on-5.

And that PP is over. Similarly bad PP not unlike the Kings. Whatever bad juju is affecting the Cats on the PP seems to be working well against them.

End of 1st. Edmonton really dominated that period, scoring one goal and outshooting Florida 11-2. Fortunately, it's just a one goal deficit, but Florida seriously has to stop fooling around with the puck and minimize the turnovers and mental lapses in the next two periods. After the first three games in the Cup Finals, the Panthers look like they've lost their fire. If they continue to play like that, it's going to a Game 7 and I'm really beginning to question their teamwork and effort.

Edmonton is just better. There, I said it…. :13314:

Defensively and offensively, a resounding yes, unfortunately. Goaltending, however, I'm not so sure about that. Skinner is just looking good in net simply because of his team's D once again consistently bailing him out. He's still not an elite netminder on his own. Though the Oilers have been known to turn games into a track meet in their favor, lately they've been playing trap games with their D since Game 4 and sadly, it's been working for them so far.

3-0 Edmonton. This game is just about over. This will go to seven games now. Forsling's ill-advised shot attempt led to that turnover and breakaway chance which then led to the third Edmonton goal. Miscues after miscues committed by Florida and Edmonton is just pouncing on their mistakes and making them pay for it. Florida just doesn't seem to have an answer. They have lost it.

If Game 7 ends in an Edmonton victory, then we'll surely won't hear the end of it. The 2024 Florida Panthers will earn the really dubious honor of joining the 1942 Detroit Red Wings by losing a series after leading 3-0 in the Cup Finals. Heads are most definitely going to roll there in Florida if that ever happens. Even worse, dirty boy Perry is going to earn his second ring after he won it back with the 2007 Anaheim Ducks. It will be the worst day ever for us Kings fans.
