The other teams thread

I saw most of the third period last night for CHI/Utah. Happy for the fans in Salt Lake to see a 5-2 winner on night one. They’re in for a letdown sooner than later unless they clean up their structure.

I saw at least 3 CHI attacks on net with the shooter all alone. They were getting stretch passes right through Utah with such ease it was pathetic. Apparently the whole team is taking its defensive cues from Durzi. But to them it was probably just really exciting. Building was awesome.

The Blues are loving those offer sheets so far.

Early results are looking good for the Blues and their offer sheets.

Not sure what to think about Holloway just yet - looks like he has the talent to stick in the NHL but doesn't seem quite ready yet.

Broberg was an absolute steal.

Given how little STL gave up to acquire both players I wonder if this becomes a new trend (which would give a lot more negotiating power to the RFAs in the future).

Today he made a great play to get Holloway the puck in front of the net for his 1st goal.

I am sure the Oil are missing him dearly.

Game of the night is BOS-NSH. Can’t see the Preds dropping 6 in a row but they are not clicking right now.

I expected StL to challenge for WC2 and I think they will remain competitive all year. For chaos’ sake I’d love to see COL or NSH totally let down and make way for StL or even Utah. Central is October hockey to the gills to start.
