Florida got sloppy on their PP and now Deadmonton killed the penalty. The Cats nearly gave up a McPrincess goal had the puck not gone off the crossbar. 0 for 1 for Florida's PP.
Shut up, Deadmonton fans. You should already know that was a trip. So much for "knowledgeable" fans among Canadian NHL teams. You bozos sure give Canada a bad name and I like Canada.
And there's the first penalty charged against Florida. Now Deadmonton is on the PP. Gotta kill this one, Florida. Don't let the McPrincess and Drysaddle Show take over and tie the game again.
Bob with some big saves in this period. But the Cats can't afford to laze around in their zone and allow him to be peppered by the Coilers. Get a hold of yourself, Florida.
Florida should better take a page from the 90s/00s Devils and utilize the patented trap game against Deadmonton because the Oilers are really trying to push it and riddling Bob with SOGs in the O-zone.
End of 1st period. It was a rather physical period with both teams dishing out the hits on each other but Florida for now has the lead at 2-1. 40 more minutes left and we'll see if Florida is able to hold on to their lead as well as extend it with a better overall performance than the last three opponents that the Coilers faced in the WC playoffs earlier.
I can't imagine rooting for Perry, Nurse, or Kane. They make Marchand look like a great guy. Florida all the way. At least I'm interested in the finals if only to wish misery on the Oilers.
High-sticking penalty against Florida and another Deadmonton PP. Stay out of the box, Florida. There's no need for unnecessary penalties in critical games like this.
2nd period ends. Florida still has the lead at 3-2. But they're currently in another critical PK in which they need to stave Deadmonton off. When the 3rd period starts, Florida better not crumble the way LA, Vegas, and Dallas did against Deadmonton.
