The other teams thread

It's been said before but the Cats trading for Marchand turned out to be the best move they did earlier this season. What Gaborik was to the Kings in 2014, Marchand is the Gaborik of 2025 for Florida. The similarities are there, despite Marchand being a lot more gritty than Gaborik.

I, for one, am glad the playoffs are over. It just wasn't an entertaining final, IMO. Let the offseason talk ramp up now. 13 days to FA Frenzy ... 9 days to the draft.

Oh, and I'll enjoy watching the Coiler fans squirm as McJesus goes into his UFA year.

Sorry Canada, I tried. But if it helps....My Heart Will Go On!

On the plus, there is an upside to second place, this guy knows what I'm talking about:

(image censored I'm guessing because there is a gun, you get it. The joke landed. hmmpf.)

*Yusuf Dikec, beyond the shadow of a doubt, is the most recognisable shooter in the world.

Right? That GM SUCKS!
Holland was gone when the RFAs were poached. RFAs usually aren’t signed until after playoffs. Look how long it took Blake to sign Durzi and Anderson a few years ago. That was in August.

They were going all in for the Cup and Holland was on his final year. Signing two RFAs before the season ended was never going to happen.

Any adult human being who roots for a team with Evander Kane, Darnell Nurse and Corey Perry deserves every bit of pain they’re feeling.

Florida is populated with just as many blatant thugs as Edmonton. Bennett, Tzachuk, Marchand, Ekblad. On the other hand, they have more players that I like and respect than the Oilers: Barkov, Rodrigues, Bobrovsky, Nosek, and most of all their coach, Paul Maurice.

To talk crazy, I find it amusing that the Oilers lost in 7 and then in 6 like the Kings lost to them the first two meetings. So the Oilers losing to the Cats next year in 5?

Weirder things have happened.

And now I can start my offseason hobby.

This is true, but Holland did not leave enough cap space to save those RFA's.
