How was it? I have a bottle for tomorrow night.
It's BIG, as in it is one helluva a beer. There is nothing subtle about it. If you like pumpkin beers and barrel aged beers, you will enjoy it. It is an overload of everything. Very aromatic. I was getting everything from graham crackers and butter to brown sugar and baked pumpkin from the aroma. The bottle I had tonight was 2 years old and time tends to mellow things out. If the one you are cracking open tomorrow night is a 2015 bottle, it will just be that much more aggressive and bold. It's one of my favorite beers of all time however I've heard from people that didn't like it because of the onslaught of malty, caramel-ey, brown-sugar-ey goodness. If you've ever had Uncle Jacob's Stout, expect something similar except with a pumpkin beer aged in rum barrels.
