I know I'm a Cowboy deep inside
My hat band's made out of synthetic rattle snake hide
After a couple **** kickin' Cowboy movies
I'll check out the Cowboy scene down at Zubie's

"It's a picture of four, thorny stems that run from top to bottom on a black background. It pretty much represents the four members of the band. It looks very phallic too. The thorns on the stem say something about the dangers of the penis." - Peter Steele on what you see above.

Yeah...Buckcherry. Always good for a fun catchy hook/chorus/bridge or 2...but part of what's wrong with RAWK these days. Just too safe. Too stadium package tour. They aren't as twee as Nickleback, but despite all the neck tatts, they are part of that whole homogenized group that quietly tries to exist in the cracks. That being said...this is a good bunch of well produced hooky tunes. Will I be playing it much or clinging to it to keep myself adrift in the ****sorry state of R'n'R??? Probably not. Why'd I buy it? Cause it's new...and I gotta listen to some new ****.

Aw hell...revisited this for ****s and giggles, I liked it when I first bought it...but it didn't really leave an impression. Gave it a turn tonight and man oh man, is this good. Bunch of snotnosed punks pulling out Mott the Hoople type singsong choruses to go with a little sleazy swagger. Ok...gonna be hooked on this for a couple days.

How to Destroy Angels - Welcome Oblivion

The production is ridiculous, half the songs sound like Trent n the gang were recording with Boards of Canada. Definitely my favorite sounding electronic album since Jon Hopkins' Insides. Too many of the tracks were on the previous EP IMO, but they're all good and fit the vibe (and actually give it a bit of diversity sonically). The new tracks are definitely the best stuff they've put out yet, and have vocals that are more buried in the mix, which blur so beautifully with the beats. Those who are turned off by Mariqueens voice should still listen to the new tracks--they're demented and groovy as ****!

Not sure if I did a best of 2012 list...but this should be at or near the top. A long awaited return to form form the boys where they wrote real songs and just cut loose. Did away with all the Wagnerian piffle and just ROCKED.

Just fantastic. The Stevie Nicks song is epic...really great stuff. And it rolls into an impromptu Desert Sessions(sorry Adge/Orph...no PJ Harvey) with Josh Homme/Alain Johannes(QOTSA) and Chris Goss(Masters of Reality) playing along with Grohl. The real standout track is the one with Rick Nielsen and Corey Taylor. The Paul McCartney song is interesting too. LOVE this cd...a LOT.
