Wow, I just saw Alice in 3-D Imax, and I thought it was awful.
No reason to care for any of the character's fates, a plot that actually, literally tells you what is going to happen, Johnny Depp breakdancing in clown school drop-out gear, and speaking in a completely inaudible tone, all with that typical "we-are-so-misunderstood" gloomy-cheeriness that Tim Burton sprays around like so much fluff.
Plus Anne Hathaway looks like a suicide girl who begrudgingly had to go to her cousin's bah mitzvah.
There's more depth about a victorian woman's plight in the trailer for any Jane Austen film.
It looks awesome, I'll give it that, but how hard is it to give me even the smallest reason to care about what's happening on screen?
