Last Movie Watched

It appears in Hot Fuzz and both Edgar Wright and Quentin Tarantino said it was great in their commentary, so I bought a used copy of this on Amazon. It was pretty awesome and would make a great movie to watch while you're drinking.

Enjoyed this thoroughly.

Wow, I just saw Alice in 3-D Imax, and I thought it was awful.

No reason to care for any of the character's fates, a plot that actually, literally tells you what is going to happen, Johnny Depp breakdancing in clown school drop-out gear, and speaking in a completely inaudible tone, all with that typical "we-are-so-misunderstood" gloomy-cheeriness that Tim Burton sprays around like so much fluff.

Plus Anne Hathaway looks like a suicide girl who begrudgingly had to go to her cousin's bah mitzvah.

There's more depth about a victorian woman's plight in the trailer for any Jane Austen film.

It looks awesome, I'll give it that, but how hard is it to give me even the smallest reason to care about what's happening on screen?

Awful is a strong word. But the rest of the review is pretty much spot on.

The visuals were great but not enough to make up for...

...even though it was a Tim Burton film, it felt like somebody else trying to do a Tim Burton film and overdoing it.

...telling us straight away what was going to happen and never really once giving the feeling it might ever deviate in the slightest from that path.

...by the end, the only thing I even anticipated was "Johnny Depp breakdancing in clown school drop-out gear." ...even that was a let-down.

Watched "Definitely, Maybe" on the movie channel in HD, and it was a decent rom-com flick. My Rating would be around 8/10. (No Blu release by Universal?) Can't go wrong with Elizabeth Banks, Rachel Weisz, and Isla Fisher.

Fantastic!!! Who says there are no original ideas anymore?!!?

Just watched this. Gotta say I am not a fan of time slip flicks...and this one will not convert me. Lotsa timewarp crosseye moments and a lot of telegraphed 'surprises'...heard so much about this and was soooo let down. All I have to say Adgy is that when bandage man pulled 'victim' down off the roof, the converse logo on the sneaker really gave it all away. Sloppy.

I just watched this

And man does this flick still hold up...great concept...nice sleight of hand...and a satisfying conclusion. Bill Paxton oughtta get behind the camera more often

I don't go int these recent Clive Barker adaptations expecting something earth shattering, but rather some nice little creepy films, and that's what I got with this, and I liked the concept. I enjoyed it.

I still have to watch Dread!

Film directed by David Bryne, which I thought was wonderfully odd, and I LOVED the music, which was performed performed by some of the actors in the film and The Talking Heads.

I read that this film has been inspired by Night of the Demon and yes it was! I enjoyed this film it was both scary and funny! You should watch Night of the Demon if you liked this. You won't be disappointed!
