Friedman announced during the MTL/TOR game that the Oil has all but ruled Ekholm out for the rest of this season. Big loss.
Not to wish injury on someone but this will really hurt the Oilers. More ice time for Nurse LOL.Friedman announced during the MTL/TOR game that the Oil has all but ruled Ekholm out for the rest of this season. Big loss.
WTF are you talking about?Too bad for BU. Western Michigan will take home the Frozen Four National Championship.
WTF are you talking about?Slu-Kings-Sky is going to backstop the team to the title.
I was just messing with yaJust saying. I like Slukynsky but when it comes to college hockey teams, I show a little bias for Boston-area teams. I tend to pull for NU a bit.
He came up huge too.WTF are you talking about?Slu-Kings-Sky is going to backstop the team to the title.
Actually, the Kings only need to win one game for home ice.Boooooo. Deadmonton just beat Winnipeg 4-1. Winnipeg was supposed to be the best team in the WC this season and though they beat Deadmonton twice earlier, they put up a stinker and dropped their game against Deadmonton this time. Thanks for nothing, Loserpeg. Now our Kings have definitely got to win the last three remaining games this season, starting with tomorrow's game against Deadmonton. The Kings better beat them in regulation again.
Totally expected. The peg wrapped up their spot yesterday so they had absolutely nothing to play for. Hell wasn't even on the bench. It will be interesting to see how the oil come out tomorrow. Kings have 3 bullets left to get home ice.Boooooo. Deadmonton just beat Winnipeg 4-1. Especially with McDavid sitting out and all the other injuries.I really feel on several intangible levels that this game vs the Oilers is a 'must win'. Not only that but I'd like to see it done emphatically. Talk about an opportunity to make a statement. Taking away any chance for home ice in their barn will speak volumes. Come on boys. Bring it tonite!
First of all...I'd probably use the word 'overblown' to describe your reaction to my rather simple post. Second...I appreciate your appreciation for my 'passion and interest' but not sure how it applied to what I said (and I didn't ask). Third...if you watched the game last night and didn't feel like 'statements' were being made on both sides then we were watching a different game. Lastly...if you have been following this team...'passionately'...as long as I have than you know nothing is ever certain. A win last night by Edmonton (with a depleted roster) would have been potentially DEVESTATING for the Kings. Suddenly they are tied in points with two games left and all the wind taken out of their sails. Far stranger things have happened to this club over the years than losing out the last 3 games and ending up in Edmonton for games 1 and 2.I appreciate your passion and interest in the game. But I think this is a tad overblown given all the dynamics.
This game is important because home ice in the first round is still undecided.
But I don’t believe there is a lot more at stake. I don’t think this is a message-type game. Too many players out of the lineup, too much looking past the final few games, too much planning and plotting for the playoffs.
Once the playoffs start it’s a new season with little carryover. No matter what occurs tonight both teams will have little or no memory of what transpired in the regular season or the last meeting between these two clubs.
I hope the Kings can settle their second place finish and the home ice advantage. That is the only thing these final three games have. And I’m hopeful that the Kings can avoid any injuries.

Overblown? Nah. But thanks for the breakdown.
Great win and I hope QB is ok.
