Only if he brings that cold shoulder with him, for the likes of Evander Kane, Mark Stone, etc..Oh, and whatever it costs to get Rempe from the Rangers.

What I find interesting about this rumor is this is the 2nd top pairing left shot d-man the Kings have been linked to this trade season. The other being Jakob Chychrun… again. Does that mean anything on its face value? Probably not but if there’s some smoke there maybe the Kings don’t see Anderson as the long term fixture on the top pairing and maybe they’re looking for an upgrade. If QB or BC is moved I am done as well. Flake has already dealt 1st round picks Vilardi, Kupari, and Faber. I wouldn't think he is stupid enough to move a 4th one. I thought QB is the heir apparent to replace Kopitar and BC to replace Doughty. The Kings need scoring right now. Zero 5 on 5 goals in the past 6 periods doesn't equal getting a top pairing left handed defenseman. Besides, isn't that Mikey's role?
What if I was a 640 foot tall alien who shot laser tracking Stanley Cups out my ass at spaceships trying to attack Earth? WHAT IF?What IF QB is in a package for McDavid and McDavid is signed for a minimum of 5 years?
At least my what if is realistic, unlike yours. What if I was a 640 foot tall alien who shot laser tracking Stanley Cups out my ass at spaceships trying to attack Earth? WHAT IF?
Sorry been watching too much Stargate.
If Edmonton wants to send the best player in the league to LA for a second time I guess I’d be ok with that. What IF QB is in a package for McDavid and McDavid is signed for a minimum of 5 years?
If the kings had a second or third I'd say kick some tires but having only a first ( too much) and a 4th(not enough) how many drafts down the road are the sens interested. This just doesn't seem workable
I see Eklund has a new site.View attachment 8668
This is according to NHL Rumors Daily.
I love a good rumor around the trade deadline but this one seems beyond far fetched.
1. Hanifin will require a long term contract this summer. He’s believed to be asking for over 7MM a year.
2. A trade for a 27 year old 1st pairing D man would require more assets than the Kings currently have available unless you’re willing to move Byfield or Clarke. If a 21 year old QB is traded I’m done as a Kings fan. Clarke makes a bit more sense if the organization doesn’t think he has the tools to be a 1st pair d-man, I suppose.
Generally I hate the idea of trading a young cheap player for a win now 40 point d-man but Hanifin is a legitimate 1st pairing defenseman that you can build around for the next 8 years.
Tarasenko’s game is the ideal fit for the Kings needs but the cost to acquire him will be more than the team can offer unless Ottawa really loves Kaliyev. I would prefer not to sell low on Kaliyev because he’s young and cheap but if the Sens happen to really love his potential maybe a deal can be worked out. I don’t think Blake can afford to give up much more than Kaliyev and a mid round pick.
I will also make this threat ... re: Clarke, too.If a 21 year old QB is traded I’m done as a Kings fan.
Clarke’s offensive ceiling seems to be higher than any Kings dman since Lubo Visnovsky. Probably a good idea to hold onto young players like that.I will also make this threat ... re: Clarke, too.
