New Tiger Army!!!

The latest is not as pyschobilly as previous releases , it seem that Nick is going back to earlier rockabilly times and perhaps a bit of western style music in some of the tunes. But it is still great if you are a Tiger Army fan.

Tiger Army's been my favorite band for 13 years and I ADORE this album. I agree it's not classic psychobilly, like their first album, but it's so different and I love it! I've been listening to it on repeat since I got the album on Friday.

Currently super obsessed with "Dark and Lonely Night" and "Knife's Edge."

I just bought tickets to see Descendents at the Palladium in October. I am SO ****ING EXCITED. They're one of my favorite bands and I've never seen them live.
Anyone been to one of their shows?

One of my favorite bands also. I've seen them a few times, and I'm planning to go to that show, too. You're going to be very, very happy.

Here's a link to their Vegas PRB setlistt, in case you're curious. It should be pretty similar in October, because tracks from the new disc are already in the setlist.

That Milo Goes to College covers is one of the best images of all time.

And it works good for parodies too, lol.

Sometimes a band just needs 24 minutes to say everything they need to say in an album. And no, I haven't seen them live. :fpalm:

Yep, exactly what I was thinking. The piano is very similar. But a good track none the less.

Yeah - I like it too but that was the first thing that popped into my head when I heard it. The new album is good but a little too "pretty" for me to really love it. I listened to it when it first came out but haven't gone back to it since.

Actually I thought the same, but after a couple listens I have come to like it more than at the start.

tasty

A punk rock guilty pleasure.

Street punk out of Edinburgh. Led by ex soldier Wattie Buchan, they were, well, as punk as ****. I say guilty pleasure because when you talked to other punks most sorta looked at the Exploited with a bit of disdain, "Gutter Punk is what they are!" That probably came from the fact that Wattie got into a press battle with Jello Biafra of the Dead Kennedy's, and to be honest, Jello destroyed him. So to like the Exploited meant your were sorta dumb, at least in LA, but I hear that actually was the view in a lot of other places. But that said, every once in awhile it was ok to listen to the Exploited, but you had to be in "the mood", sorta like Discharge but that is a different story. Because Discharge was not "dumb", just, well.....

But I have to admit two things: I saw the Exploited live and low and behold! I met up with all the other punks who used to dismiss them as "gutter punk". And it was a cool show! And It was Wattie Buchan that helped end my "harder core than thou" mental illness. In an interview he was asked if he liked any non-punk music. Obviously the interviewer was thinking that Buchan would go off and declare how hardcore he was. But Wattie responded, to everyone's great surprise with, "Sure, there is lots of great non punk music, I love The Cure at the moment and there is lot of other good stuff.." WTF?????

Cool! So here they are, one my of faves from them...

And PS: Orphy, love Rancid and mint tea sucks!
